The Tenth Annual Show Me State Disc Dog Championship
What:
Everyone from anywhere are welcome! Come and join us. It's splendid. A stand alone two day disc dog championship with six challenging games for you and your dog. There will be Division 3, Novice, Senior, and Pro divisions for each game. There are awards and prizes for each game plus over-all awards for top scorers throughout the weekend. The Pro Division Over-all Champion is the Show Me State (Missouri) Champion.
Where:
Purina Farms, Gray Summit, MO. 30 minutes West of downtown St. Louis, MO just off of I-44. I-44 exit 253 then follow the signs to Purina Farms. All games will be played at the Working Dog and Flying Disc Field.
When:
Saturday October 20th and Sunday October 21st of 2018. Registration opens at 8am and start time is 9am on Saturday. Sunday registration is the same. Opening at 8am with a 9am start time.

Disc Dog Combined Championship Rules
***Dependent on turn out of competitors; Games scheduled for two rounds may be cut to only one round to fit into the available daylight.***
Saturday run of events : Funstyle, one round. Throw + Catch, two rounds. Timed Course, two rounds
Sunday run of events : Long Distance, Men's and Women's, two rounds. 5 X 100 Relay, one round. Flank You, one round.
Awards and Prizes will be given out at the completion of each game. Over-all awards and prizes are given at the completion of the event.

***It's Halloween time; dress accordingly.***
Over-all points are accumulated in each game a team plays. The top two Over-all scoring teams in each division are awarded
with the big prizes after all the scores are tallied Sunday afternoon. Pro and Novice winners are then "Immortalized" on the Show Me State
Disc Dog Championships Perpetual Trophy... FOREVER!
Discs allowed: Any disc dog specific safe disc that is round, and not a ring.
Div. 3 Competitors are allowed to use fabric or soft rubber discs and other training aids.
Divisions:
A handler must choose a division to compete in and stay with it all weekend. Dogs can split divisions with different handlers.
Pro Division, open to anyone, our top division. The Over-all winner here is the Missouri State Champion.
Novice Division, open to experienced recreational competitors. Over-all win here gets your names on the Show Me Trophy
Division 3, open to first timers, beginners, and youth handlers. Training aids are allowed. (But NO treats on the field.)
Senior Division, open to all handlers 50 years of age and older.
Rules: 2017 rules! There will be a players meeting before each game. They are easy to understand, don't worry.
*** Your Long Distance total is your Round 1 longest catch added to your Round 2 longest catch. ***
You are not required to play all the games. But they all are fun and offer Over-all Points towards the division Championships.
A St. Louis Disc Dog logo disc for each entered handler will be provided at registration while supplies last. A variety of discs and disc dog club gear will be for sale at the event too!
Free Parking for Competitors and Spectators is in the Lower Main Show Field Parking Lot and the Agility Field Parking Lot. You may drop off tents, dog crates, and stuff on the road next to the Field but you must then park in one of lots. No Driving On Any Grass at Purina Farms!
Camping and Hotel: RV camping is free at Purina Farms for competitors and their family and friends Friday through Sunday the weekend of the competition. Contact me if you plan on camping in the RV Lot for a reservation. No tent camping. There are many pet friendly hotels around Purina Farms, shopping for a good rate at a hotel that suits your needs has left people the happiest.
***Beware*** The Travel Lodge right off the Gray Summit exit is CLOSED; it went out of business. Search for hotels in Washington, Union, Pacific, and Eureka, Missouri.
